My first career was in the Army where I flew helicopters and taught leadership. On leaving the forces I joined a management development company based in North Wales where I took advantage of my outdoor leadership qualifications and learned the skills of group facilitation as well as personal development coaching.

I then joined a consultancy in London as organisational change specialist working mainly with large international corporates. Whilst there studied for a masters in organisational and personal learning based based on concepts of psychodynamics and taught at the prestigious Ashridge Business School.

In addition to formal qualifications I’ve had a love of incorporating the arts in my work. This has meant learning Action Methods such as Sociodrama and Role Development. I also studied storytelling  and ShadowWork. To formalise this interest I gained a diploma in Supervision at The London School of Psychodrama and went on to supervise on the Coaching and Mentoring MA at Oxford Brookes.

In 2012 I applied my experience, skills and knowledge into the design of ProReal (later Rethinkly) as a virtual world in which clients could share thoughts and feelings visually online. This software has grown a significant evidence base and has been used in 10 countries.

Out of my work role I teach and race paddleboards, make music, read Shakespear and enjoy sketching.
